Wedding Wisdom Introduction
The world of weddings and parties is rich with amazing products and services. I thought that it would be refreshing to offer unbiased, common sense advice. Knowledge and information that will be useful as you navigate the process for planning your wedding. Whether this is your first time planning or not, it is reassuring to have a resource to turn to. Regardless of the size of your budget, the scope of your plans or the place that you plan to tie the knot, each subject in this series will offer bits of information that you can use.
What qualifies me to offer this “advice”?
A LOT of experience ranging from hotels, catering, wedding and event planning and owning a venue. Countless celebrations including weddings, mitzvahs, anniversary and birthday parties, retirement and memorial celebrations, corporate and non-profit events. Together with my clients, we have planned celebrations for 2 to 800 guests. Inside, outside, on the beach, in a National park, in hotels, wineries, barns and private homes. I have worked with photographers, videographers, event production companies, rental vendors, caterers, bartending services, florists, graphic designers, bands, DJs, bridal boutiques, hair and make-up stylists and transportation providers.
Weddings are extra special because they bring two individuals and their families together to witness something new being formed. Marriage celebrations bring together religious, cultural and personal values. Traditional Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Hindu celebrations all have specific ritual elements. Interfaith and non-denominational ceremonies have space for more personal interpretation. Regardless of what type of ceremony you plan on, the subjects that will be presented are universal and, hopefully, helpful for you.
